Total consumer spend during the holiday season increased from $205 billion last year to $210 billion this year. Total online sales during this same period were $180 billion, with the majority of purchases coming from desktop computers vs mobile devices. Moreover, the conversion rate was over 2% higher on average for desktop computers vs mobile devices, and the average items per order was also significantly higher for the latter.
