According to Business of Apps, "netflix is still in the lead for streaming app market share in the United States, but has been losing market share every quarter since Q1 2021. The launch of Paramount, Apple TV+, and Peacock has also diluted the market." As of Q1 2022, Netflix still leads with a 23% market share, a drop from 31% in Q1 2021. HBO Max increased from 8% in Q1 2021 to 14% in Q1 2022. Yet, the future of HBO Max remains uncertain as it merges into a single streaming service with Discovery+.
