Have you ever wondered how much a ticket to Wimbledon costs? The graph includes official non-Debenture ticket prices.
Although these prices might seem reasonable, remember that tickets are in high demand, and the multi-step process to purchase official tickets is complicated. Unlike in previous years, there was no Public Ballot to enter in. Instead, guests who were offered tickets for the canceled 2020 Wimbledon as part of that year's ballot were offered the same day and court for 2022 Wimbledon. If you weren't one of the lucky fans who can get their hands on a ticket, there is still the option of queuing for fans willing to wait hours or even camp out in line. Note that Debentures, which are freely transferable, are issued for Centre Court and No. 1 Court for a five-year term and Debenture Tickets. The 2021-2025 Centre Court Debentures were priced at £80,000 each!!
On another note, tickets for the men's and women's final match cost the same for the first time! The women's final will be held on Saturday, July 9, while the men's final will be on Sunday, July 10.
As a tennis fan, these prices are actually more reasonable than other grand slam major tournaments. Would be interesting to see a comparison across all 4 majors and ticket prices at different stages of the tournament.
