Hello! I love Factle. However, Ethiopia was occupied by Italy, not colonized. Ethiopia has always been independent. We don't say that France gained independence in 1944 after being occupied by Nazi Germany; France was an independent country under occupation, and was liberated in 1944. The same should apply to Ethiopia.
