This data reflects the average gun deaths for children ages 0-19 from 2016 -2020. 58% of child and teen gun deaths are homicides. This data is sourced from nonprofit Everytown, and the original data is from CDC, WONDER, Underlying Cause of Death, 2016–2020. The CDC recent report indicates that as of 2020 firearm-related injuries the leading cause of death in that age group.
